This Weeks Training W/E 10/27

This week was all about getting ready for the Habitate for Humanity Raise the Roof 15k. It was suppose to be speed work / long run in preparation for the A1A Ft. Lauderdale Marathon but it really consumed the week all by itself.

The race was held at Veranadah, a golf community along the Orange River in North Fort Myers just off State Road 80. Kolter Homes is the builder now. They took over when Bonita Bay Builders went belly up.


Since there was no packet pick up, Tony, Chris and I left at o’dark o’clock and arrived just in time for breakfast! McDonald’s was serving coffee and there were bagels and bananas for breakfast.

The race course went through the community and the nature trails and was a pleasant run! Tony, Chris and I each finished first in our Age Group and received a second medal!

I felt training wasn’t all that intense, perhaps due to the race. I felt good during the race and no real pain afterwards…. here’s what the week looked like:
