I drove their car from our home in Estero to Owls Head stoping along the way at Eric’s summer rental home in Raymond, Me. Eric and Katy and the boys rent a home for a week there each summer. It is an opportunity for us to enjoy Maine lake living. It is not a rural as the home my employers rent. We arrived to rain, wind and fog.

While we were there the boys, Max and Justin and their friend Zac went Letter Boxing, reading clues that lead to hidden items.

After saying good bye work resumed. I shopped for groceries, opened the house, unloaded the car and prepared dinner all while enjoying the peace and quite of Maine not to mention the view.

I did get a chance to run while I was in Owls Head. Just a few miles down to the Owls Head Lighthouse and back. I passed the General Store, Post Office and the lobsterman’s co-op.

These two sailboats in we the marina. The red boat we just I went a $9.5 million refit. You can’t tell by the picture but the are both 100 ft long. Of course we want to take both of them home but the neither owners nor the crew would let us.

The next day we took a ferry to North Haven, an island off Rockland. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable ride. We passed the house and Owls Head Light.
