Aperitif in Roma

18 Jul

Today we went to David’s concert at the Accademia Nationale di Santa Cecilia to hear Suite Cajkovskij (Suite Tchaikovsky). On the way we stopped to meet Carolina for an aperitif in Piazza del Popolo where she grew up.

Due to traffic, yes Roma is famous for it’s traffic, we had to park several blocks away and walk.

We crossed over the famous Tiber River, which to me looked like a muddy creek.

We meet Carolina at a restaurant at the edge of the piazza. Inside was full of wonderful pastries, sandwiches and other goodies.

The boys picked out their own goodies to eat and a drink.

Joanne and Carolina had wine and some fruit.

Of course I had a beer, but not “a grande”,

A good time was had by all!
