Concert Night in Roma

18 Jul

After our aperitif with Carolina in Piazza Santa Maria del Popoloo, we headed towards the concert hall. David arranged a police escort…well not really.

The police weaved thru traffic when we stopped for a traffic light,. The officer on the left is smoking a black cigar!

After parking it was a walk again to the music hall.

David is say here is where I work.

We had the opportunity to go back stage and see the string sections collection of EMPTY whiskey bottles.

We then went to the backstage cafe to have a drink and meet David’s friend’s from the orchestra.

When then went to the Will Call Window to pick up our tickets.

The concert was my favorite composer, Tchaikovsky! The 1812 Overture was the last piece.

After the concert we headed home and on the way stopped at T-Bone Steaks.
