We awoke to RAIN and clouds. I don’t know about you, but it is not suppose to rain while you are on a tour of Italy. But, alas, it was cloudy and rainy. So a boat tour of the Isle of Capri was in order, in the RAIN.

We left early in the morning to get to the boat dock. Since it was raining, our tour director, Chris, arranged for a boat with upper viewing deck and a covered seating area below. We started out up top but it RAINED! So below deck we went.

We saw several famous grotto’s and sailed thru a stone arch. But the RAIN damped our view of these beautiful sights, so much so, I took pictures with my camera and not my iPhone. I have yet to get somewhere where I can download the pictures. So pics to come.

The above selfie was taken in the upper boat deck before the rain came.

We sent the rest of the morning walking the Isle of Capri including the tram that took us to the top of the hill. Joanne and I came back down and found a nice cafe that over looks the water. We had our usual wine, birra and a salami and fontina sandwich.

In the afternoon we came back to Sorrento to tour a woodworking factory. While we inside, it started to hail. The old man who lead the demonstration said he had never seen hail, and hail it did, for 1/2 a hour.

After waiting out the hail we went back to the hotel to rest briefly. Next up a Be My Guest Dinner in Sorrento.
