Valentine’s Day Weekend

Valentine’s Day started early this year, J got flowers from me on Thursday. I also made reservations at our favorite local resturant, Ristorante Farfalla for Friday evening.

We started with Filet Mingon Carpaccio as a started and I must say it was excellent.

I had veal and I had Bolganase over homemade pasta. As usual, we traded plates half way through but I must say my meal was the best!

Saturday I gave J her card, a box of chocolates and a gift car for a manicure and pedicure.

Saturday evening was the Naples Philharmonic play Gershwin and Bernstein both J’s favorites.

Sunday diner I prepared Salmon en croute, roasted fingerling potatoes and minted peas (a Gordon Ramsey recipe) and served it with a bottle of Traphice Malbec. I must say it was very good, the dinner and the wine.

Sunday morning I did manage a five mile run thru the woods.
