Alastair Humphrey

For some time, I have been reading and following Alastair Humphrey’s blog.  Alastair is an adventurer, blogger, author, motivational speaker, film maker and photographer. He has cycled round the world for 4 years, raced a yacht across the Atlantic Ocean, canoed 500 miles down the Yukon River and walked the length of the holy Kaveri river in India.  Things you and I dream of doing.

Recently, he suggested that each month you do a microadventure. A microaventure is an escape from the everyday, mundane world we all live to do something fun, new and different.  It can be as simple as sending a night under the stars, hiking to the top of a mountain or kayaking down a river.  They are usually overnight and with a friend. He has laid out suggestions for a year of microadventures to help you get started.

Here is a video of a recent microadventure with one of Alastair’s friends, Tem.

After you check out the video, tell me what you think.
