Year in The Rear View – the first 6 months

30 Dec

It’s time to look back at 2016 as it is now in the rearview mirror.
JANUARY

January started as one of our cooler months, which meant a kayak trip to Mound Key in the Esteto Bay with the gang of eight.

January also saw our Owl return to raise a family in our rental house.

FEBRUARY

Our friends from Connecticut, Barbara and Dick, also our daughter-in-laws parents, rented a house near us for two months.

Our community had a Welcome Back Party.

Dick and I took the ladies to brunch for Valentines Day.

Every year or local Chic-fil-a has a 50’s party.

J and I learned to play pickleball.

We also had a sunset picnic on the beach.

We also attended the Concert on the Driving Range.

We took Barbara & Dick to the concert but also our friend Barbara from a Bonita Springs.

MARCH

Dick and I took the boat to get serviced.

Our tree started to bloom.

We went to another concert on the green.

J’s Encore club had a Happy  Hour at Ted’s Montana Grill

The golf course began killing the grass to replant new.

MAY

J and I attended a Kentucky Derby party…note the hat!

May was visitors month. J’s brother and his wife stayed a few days.

Our friend Tony brought my dog to stay for 3 weeks.

Pam, J’s best friend from grade school, and her husband Hank visited.

Missey was still with us.

Dick and I took a boat ride.
